Damianos Zisimou is a Cypriot visual artist. He studied Fine Arts in Rome’s Academy of Fine arts in Italy and later sociology of the arts in the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Through the mediums of painting, drawing, video and archival images he explores issues of identity, memory, official/unofficial narratives and networks. In addition, the relationship between art and social sciences has recently become a core theme in his practice. He has shown his work in various exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece and Italy. He currently lives and works between Nicosia and Rotterdam.
